Kim Delaney is an American actor who is most well-known as the character the role of Detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she received the Emmy Award. Her credits comprise All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. Delaney was the only child of her mother who was a homemaker and high-ranking executive of the United Auto Workers. Delaney was a child in the company of four brothers. When she was a kid, she dreamt of being a reporter for the court. But after she graduated from high school and relocating into New York in the 1980s and began to model, she was hooked. In her teens her first appearance as an actress was in the soap opera All My Children. Delaney is well-known as an actress who has been involved in numerous television shows, and dramas. Contrary to her career success, her personal life is not successful and happy. She has also experienced two divorces that failed and fought with addiction issues. She lost custody of her son in the year 2005.
